The Journey to Rasht - Sunday 6th September.

This was the much-anticipated day of our journey to RASHT, a main town in the green northern province of Guilan, close to the Caspian Sea.   For most of us it would be our first opportunity to see the kind of Caspians now being bred in Iran.
Late arrivals caused an unfortunate delay before we could leave, but finally we were able to depart. The drive would take up to five hours and we would be travelling through the Alborz mountains, breaking the journey at a midway point.
