LAMINITIS RESEARCH PROJECT: Caspian owners - can you help this important research? We know that Caspians can suffer from this distressing condition. Details below.
The Royal Veterinary College, in collaboration with the Animal Health Trust, are looking to recruit over 3,000 horse and pony owners for a web-based study. This World Horse Welfare-funded research project requires the help of British horse and pony owners to actively contribute to research, with a goal of improving the health and welfare of equines nationwide!
All horses and ponies can take part, regardless of their age, breed, use or past/present health status, and even if they have never had laminitis. Not only can you keep a monthly “diary” for your horse or pony, but you can help researchers discover more about equine laminitis and how to prevent it by enrolling one or more of your animals today! For more information, and to register, please visit www.careaboutlaminitis.org.uk
