The ‘National Beauty Festival of the Caspian Horse’

 This was a day we had all been looking forward to - after so much talk about Caspian Horses, we were going to meet them at last.  Publicity for the show was impressive and helped to attract an amazing entry of around 80 horses.  We spotted roadside banners announcing the show as we drove towards Bandar Anzali.
The weather was beautiful and there was a tangible air of excitement in the coach as we approached the gates of TakTaz Riding Club, where the ‘Beauty Festival’ was due to take place.
